Short Term Aims and Goals
It is the policy of the committee to offer junior football the best that could be offered, not only in quality and level of coaching, but the all round club facilities, the affiliation with a successful senior side, quality of supplied kit, equipment etc and the associated social side. If these opportunities are made available and therefore a club that juniors really want to play for, then problem of trying to install desire has been over come. Once there is a club that attracts juniors who have an aspiration to join, then you have the opportunity of forming together football sides, that include players all of equal and first-rate ability. Primarily good players require good players to play with.
As part of the football development manager’s role, will be the formulation of a junior coaching structure, to incorporate the player development not over one season but from the age of seven to seventeen, therefore maintain continuity all through junior level and then onto senior.
Long Term Aims and Goals
The long-term goal for the junior academy is to groom players to a standard to service the senior A reserve side. It is a failing of many junior clubs, that upon reaching the age of sixteen / seventeen, their club structure does not allow for any further progression within that club. The clubs emphasis is quality and not quantity, to nurture players through to enjoy their football and assist in the junior player competing at the highest level their ability will allow. The overall aims for the club and where it is progressing to should only help in the aspiration of the junior academy.
The Youth Academy
The academy’s primary role is the training of youth football from the ages of U7 through to U17, with a programme being formulated to cover these eleven years of education.
The development of players to service the requirements of the Senior Side is the prime mission of the academy, although the club fully understands in today’s climate the football league clubs will inevitable take some players for their academy requirements. If and when this does happen, although very disappointing for Bisley Football Club to losing a valued member, it should also be seen as a form of validation in the standards set by Bisley FC.
The academy players will also closely liaise with the senior players. The senior players will support the youths in training.
Upon the expansion of the youth system, the club will be active in reaching FA Charter Status and all that is involved with the Charter.
The club aim to provide its youth structure a calm and relaxed facility to learn their football. It is believed if the youth do not enjoy the environment for their training, then they will not expand the football knowledge. |
